BISHOP GRANDIN GREENWAY INC.
(Goals & Objectives)
The volunteers of Bishop Grandin Greenway Inc. are
spearheading the development of the Greenway to create, enhance and
conserve an accessible network of nature areas and public pathways that
link and support both human and wildlife communities along Bishop
Grandin Blvd. Numerous organizations are supporting the project through
expertise, guidance and financial support - Manitoba Hydro, the City of
Winnipeg, Province of Manitoba and more
(see
partners).
Highly visible occurrences are appearing on this large
strip of contiguous land between the Seine and Red Rivers; interpretive
signage, tree planting sites, new pathways and benches - a direct result
of the volunteer efforts of Bishop Grandin Greenway Inc. The Bishop
Grandin Greenway Inc. team of volunteers are taking a community concept
and turning it into a reality for all to enjoy. The motto ‘By the
community for the community’ couldn’t ring truer.
